Visa for European Union Schengen

Note: You can only apply 6 months or 15 days before your travel to the Schengen Area.

  1. Visa Application Form filled out in English, 
  2. (1) Recent photo (3.5x4.5) with white background not more than 6 months old, 
  3. Valid passport for 6 months after the end of the trip (has at least 2 blank pages), with copies of the page that contains the personal data and of all the pages those are not blank.
  4. If the applicant doesn’t have Schengen Visa before in his/her current passport, he/she must bring an old passport covers the last 7 years (with no gaps between the passports), if none, the applicant must bring a movement certificate from AL-Mugamma for the last 7 years.
  5. Copy of the National ID and the translation, 
  6. Proof of the professional status: 

For employees, an original signed & stamped HR letter stating the below: 

    • Current Position.
    • Salary level.
    • The date of the recruitment.
    • Confirmation of leave approval.

For company owners:

    • A Valid Commercial registry and up-to-date tax card (Original /Copy/Translation).

Students:

    • An original enrolment letter from school/university.
  1. Original bank statements for the past 6 months (Translated in case is issued in Arabic version). 
    • If the submitted bank statement does not belong to the applicant (except for minors), an authorization to dispose of it stamped by the bank must be submitted. 
    • In the absence of a bank account, a proof of other assets has to be submitted.
  2. A round Flight, reservation, the ticket should be bought only after the visa has been issued.
  3. A proof of accommodation for the whole duration
  4. Travel insurance covers the whole trip that covers the medical expenses and repatriation in case of accident or disease (minimum cover: € 30.000
  5. An itinerary, if visiting more than one Member State.
  6. For minors (under 18 years old), it could be done as the following: 
    • If the minor travels without his/her legal guardian: consent of the parental authority (Both parents) or legal guardian shall be provided either through a notarized certificate
      If minor is travelling with one of his/her legal guardian: consent of the parental authority (parents not travelling with their minor child) or legal guardian shall be provided either through a notarized certificate 
    • A copy of the ID or the passport of the parents/legal guardian.
    • Original print out of the birth certificate issued in English from the civil registry of Abbassia*.
  7. For Spouses, a marriage certificate is required (to be issued in English from the civil registry of Abbassia) if they are applying together or one of them is applying with documents relate to the other

General Information for all visa types:

  1. The Submitted documents will not returned back to the applicant
  2. The visa application can be submitted before the travel date by a maximum time of 180 days.
  3. All documents that issued in Arabic should be duly translated into English, except (Birth, Death, Marriage & Divorce) certificates must be issued from the civil registry office of Abbassia in English only and to be submitted original. (No need for legalization).
  4. All documents should be submitted original except the tax card, the commercial registry & the travel insurance (the originals need to be seen on the submission day).
  5. The validity of the submitted documents should not exceed one month from the issuance date.
  6. All applicants must attend their appointments at visa application center except minors under 12 years old (they may not attend their appointments but please check the Photo Specifications for them).
